The Brazilian Educational and Cultural Centre is a non-profit, equal opportunities, charitable cultural and educational organization. It was funded in 1997 mainly by Brazilian parents who felt the need for their children to be taught Portuguese and to be in touch with Brazilian culture within a sociable environment in London in the United Kingdom. Its purpose is to promote and disseminate information about Brazil and the Portuguese language fostering understanding and appreciation for Brazilian culture, literature, music, art, and dance. Our organization serves Brazilians, friends of Brazil and mixed families as a resource for educational programs, social events and cross-cultural exchange.
